CRAFTING MEMORABLE COFFEE EXPERIENCES SINCE 2013

At KAFFEEHAUS, coffee is more than just a drink – it’s our world.

Situated  in County Durham, we are a father-daughter run roastery dedicated to crafting memorable coffee experiences.

Having grown up in Austria & Germany, with a coffee culture that favours a freshly brewed filter coffee, we established Kaffeehaus Amadeus in Lanchester 2013 to bring a slice of Austria and its coffee culture to County Durham.

Offering authentic homemade cakes and various single origin beans, we set out to teach people around the North East about speciality coffee and freshly brewed pour-over coffee.

Seven years later, in June 2020, we founded Durham’s first coffee roastery KAFFEEHAUS (back then: Durham Coffee) and started to build personal connections and relationships with green bean suppliers and coffee producers.

By roasting speciality coffee beans from around the world and supplying them across the UK to home brewers and businesses alike, we showcase the wonderful array of varying flavours that can exist within the speciality coffee industry.
